Failed my driving test

ARGH. Failed my driving test due to nerves!!  I was feeling great until I sat in the car with the examiner then started getting the old leg wobbles, sweaty palms and dry mouth.  Managed to stall on a hill start by putting it into the wrong gear after about thirty seconds of starting my test.  Stupid me, so gutted.  Gonna have to wait a long time to retake my test unless someone cancels theirs.  Oh well, better luck next time.

Global Following! - Comment so I can get back

Woah, just checked my stats for my blog.  Got a global following going on here with people viewing my blog from all over the world!  I never knew I had so many people from America wanting to read the mindless ramblings I post.
Seems most people view the blog with Firefox or Chrome.  I never knew how popular MacOS was either, I seem to have a lot of Mac users having a peek.

Hi to the 8 Mexicans that have viewed my blog, oh and the 10 Estonians. :)

On a side note, hit and missed the 150 follower mark!  With the recent surge of followers I'm sure I've missed out on following some of you guys.  If I'm not following you please comment in this post and I'll check out your blogs. :)

It's nearly Holiday time!

I'm nearing a two week holiday of nothingness!  Got my two final exams tomorrow; psychology and ICT.  Feeling pretty confident, I'd be happy with B's in both of them so fingers crossed.  My exams don't stop there though, got my driving test this week as well.  If I pass I'm going to be over the moon.  Still struggling to find a decent insurance quote so I'm going to have to keep hunting around; it's ridiculously expensive for first time drivers in the UK right now.

Feeling pretty cheery this evening, got a happy song here.  Don't usually like Kid Cudi's stuff but this song is an exception.  It's about weed so don't judge, lol.

Varolo.....

......is shit and I've given up on it.
It's not worth anyones time. Maybe I just don't get the hang of it.

A Little Experiment

Part One: The sign Up

Today I stumbled upon a neat little website called Varolo.  This website is all about earning money for watching short amount of adverts everyday.  I can assure you this website is no scam, it's just a little slow to get started.  Once you're started cash will from your village will start to roll in and this becomes a nice little earner.
Varolo is different from other money making websites out there on the net.  It's free to join and no credit card if required (they transfer funds via paypal).  This site required hardly no time to get going, just click here to watch and learn for yourself!

I am going to do this for 30 days and report on my progress. I am looking forward to blogging the details of my journey.

Getting Started

I found Varolo and it is about watching adverts. The pitch is advertisers pay you to watch 140 adverts a week (this is about 10 minutes a day) and  you earn money and points for each one you watch. The points can be redeemed for prizes such as a gift cards or an apple iPad. You also can win a weekly jackpot.
I signed up and watched a 12 minute video that explained the whole program. I have to admit that I was pumped up to get started. It was watching commercials after all. So I thought how I am going to get people to join my Village. Village is what they call all the people below you and without a large village how am I going to make the huge money.

Today I've sent the message out on Facebook and invited a few friends just to get started.  Hopefully I'll continue to write blogs on my experiences with Varolo because it's possible to earn thousands a month doing it.

If you’re willing to help please sign up at Varolo
Here is my village link: http://www.varolo.com/village/Vince1

Sun is shining! Mini heat-wave here in the UK.

Theme music! Bob Marley remix.

The sun is shining here in the UK and we've had some great weather.  Shame I've been stuck inside revising; hopefully it will hold on here until next week.  It hit 26 today, which is very hot for this time of year.

The Hangover II

Remember that one movie that came out in 2009 called The Hangover? Of course you do. It was only one of the most talked about films of the summer, surprising everyone as one of the funniest comedies in a long time. Two years later it was only fitting that a sequel be made so that we could relive the original Hangover fervor and kick off summer 2011 with a bang. Well, the basic rule of thumb for a sequel is that it either a) needs to be a continuation of the story from the first film or b) tell a new story with the same characters. The Hangover Part II decided to invent their own option c) which is to tell the exact same story all over again, but just changing a few details.

And that is what The Hangover Part II is. This time Stu, Alan, and Phil are in Bangkok, Thailand for Stu's wedding. The wolfpack reunites for another awesome bachelor party, this time brining along Stu's sixteen year old brother-in-law, Teddy. Stu promises only one beer and then he is calling it a night, but of course that isn't what happened or this wouldn't be The Hangover Part II. Nope. Once again a crazy night ensues and the boys wake up the next morning with absolutely no recollection of what happened the night before. They only have small clues to go off of, but they have no choice but to use these clues in order to find Teddy, who has gone missing. From here things play out much like they did in the first film with the same elements as the original. Instead of a tiger we have a monkey. Instead of a baby we have a monk. Instead of a regular Las Vegas hooker we have, well... I won't spoil that... ;)

I, like so many others, loved The Hangover. I was happily surprised by how funny and just how well made it was for a film that looked like it would be another silly comedy movie. Of course it was that but it had something great about the humour of the jokes and the cleverness of the mystery story that unfolds. The Hangover Part II doesn't quite have that and it only seems to try as hard as possible to outmatch its predecessor. It is this excessive one-upping of the first film that also drags down the films story. For one, it is just the same story all over again, but I can get past that because it worked in the first film. I won't say it wasn't annoying seeing so much of the same things happen all over again, but I'll get over it.

I was disappointed though because I loved the mystery aspect of the first film. The process of finding out where Doug was in the first film coupled with the incredibly entertaining humor was done just right. The Hangover Part II just tries so hard to go even further over-the-top that the mystery aspect here falls flat. It isn't nearly as interesting, thus the thing that made The Hangover more than just another comedy is lost in The Hangover Part II.

But The Hangover Part II doesn't suck. The hilarious lads are just as great in this film as they were in the first, and I never thought for a second that they were losing touch with their characters in the film's attempts to one-up the original. And honestly, this film really is funny. The comedy in this film isn't as clever as the first film, and it really sort of boils down to fart, poop, and dick jokes, but I love the characters of this film too much to not be entertained by that.

I won't say that I wasn't thoroughly entertained for the 102 minutes this film ran. But The Hangover Part II certainly doesn't live up to the hype and it doesn't even come close to the first film. As much as I laughed during this film I really just can't think of it as much more than just another comedy.
